Membership

We are a national association with representation in each Canadian province and the Territories. Our membership has also extended to the United States, United Kingdom, and other parts of Europe.

CERTIFIED: a CINA member who has successfully completed the written examinations of the Canadian Intravenous Nurses. (Certification Applications in Acrobat Format Available Here. Click Here for Regulations)

ACTIVE: any registered nurse who is actively engaged in Intravenous Therapy in either a full time or part time capacity, or those registered nurses who are engaged in a supervisory, educational, administrative or general staff position.
Active members shall be eligible to vote, hold office and serve on any elected or appointed committee.

ASSOCIATE:any individual engaged in an occupation related to Intravenous Therapy but who is not eligible for Active membership.

To become a member, simply print off our Membership Form, and mail it to us.

Membership Year - January 1 to December 31 - FEES: $70.00 before January 31, 2001 and $75.00 after January 31, 2001 which includes the Annual CINA Journal, Mainliner (newsletter), Standards of Practice, Revised I.V.Therapy Guidelines, Eligibility to complete the certification exam, Half price convention registration, and many other benefits.
